I fell in.
I fall in line.
Would you let me in?
Would you let me try?
With these cold hands.
With the green hands.
Is it second hand to the loge?
Would you hold me,
just to hold me?
Would you settle me
in your saline dream?
Would you kiss me here?
Would you make it right?
Cuz you know I've been scared,
but I’m not this time.
You’re like staring right into the sun
without losing sight.
Do you trust me?
I could show you it's not like that.
Would you touch me there?
Would you tell me I’m
the one?
With these old hands.
With the green hand.
Am I the only one who stands
for a world where it’s not like that.
Do you love me?
I could show you it’s not like that.
You fell in,
and then I fell in,
and then you fell in,
and then I fell in love.

This is a very strong sophomore record - No sophomore slump here. This shows Gudasz' growth as a songwriter. She's branching out in different directions musically with some very cool production work. Some of the songs are even better than those from Oleander, her debut LP. While some of those sounds/textures are still present here, this record has some more challenging (and rewarding) results. For fans of Leonard Cohen, Sharon Van Etten, Aimee Mann and Joni Mitchell. travm0

Working with her friend and co-producer Nick Sanborn (of Sylvan Esso), Wasner crafts a unique, atmospheric sound, combining electro-pop synths, guitars, and wind instruments, while tastefully altering and layering her own resonant vocals. jmand300
