Here’s to the night.
I can’t live this way,
all the death we made.
Won’t you stay?
Won’t you stay?
Somewhere deep inside of me,
you were deep inside of me.
When you were deep inside of me.
Call it off.
Let’s call it off.
For the bed we made,
all the less we stay.
I am not your cocaine reject.
We were young,
and we’ll stay young.
Go ahead and kiss
all the world with this.
I am yours,
and I’ll stay yours
somewhere deep inside of me.
You were deep inside of me.
When you were deep inside of me.
This one stands at the door.
This one stands at the door.
So come on and get your way.
I will lay and wait
for the chance to take your sin.
Your sin.
Somewhere deep inside of me,
you were deep inside of me.
(This one stands at the door)
When you were deep inside of me.
(This one stands at the door)
When you were deep inside of me.
When you were deep inside of me.
When you were deep inside of me.
When you were deep inside of me.
When you were deep inside of me.
When you were deep inside of me.

This is a very strong sophomore record - No sophomore slump here. This shows Gudasz' growth as a songwriter. She's branching out in different directions musically with some very cool production work. Some of the songs are even better than those from Oleander, her debut LP. While some of those sounds/textures are still present here, this record has some more challenging (and rewarding) results. For fans of Leonard Cohen, Sharon Van Etten, Aimee Mann and Joni Mitchell. travm0

Working with her friend and co-producer Nick Sanborn (of Sylvan Esso), Wasner crafts a unique, atmospheric sound, combining electro-pop synths, guitars, and wind instruments, while tastefully altering and layering her own resonant vocals. jmand300
